Happy New Year!
We had a bit of a lie in, enjoying real beds after swag camping for the last week and then packed and stowed our luggage at the hotel reception.
I’d found a brunch place, Let’s Brunch, in downtown Adelaide which looked good, so we took a walk through the city to go find it, and we were not disappointed! The servings were very generous and the schnitzel, which Bella ordered, was absolutely humongous!
After brunch, we browsed the shopping streets and Diana bought some new sunglasses, on the way to the South Australia Museam. The museum was interesting, including exhibitions on the history of the area and the polar exploration by Sir Douglas Mawson.
Afterward we walked back to the hotel to collect our luggage and then take a taxi to the airport.
The flight was uneventful and on arriving in Sydney, we took a taxi to our accommodation, which was right next to Darling Harbour.
A quick freshen up, and we head out to find some dinner along the promenade. It’s getting late, and we’re running out of options that are still serving food and not full. We finally find a place, which is a bit of tourist trap, and wait ages for our food to arrive. It’s been a long day, so after dinner we head back to the apartment to bed.
