Today is our explore Sydney day, the kids haven’t been to Sydney before so we’re going to take in the main sights.
We find a cafe just across the street from our apartment which serves delicious pastries, coffee and breakfast food, which we all enjoy before heading to Sea Life Sydney
We enjoy the underwater walk the most, with excellent views of the sharks and sawfish, it was very busy, however.
Afterward we walk along The Promenade looking for a place for lunch. The kids spy an italian restaurant with robot waiters, and we’re drawn in. We order pizza and pasta and wait for our robot to deliver, they are rather clumsy, constantly bump into things and get stuck, but they were fun to watch and the kids loved it.
Lunch complete we continue walking along Darling Harbour, around to Barangaroo reserve, under the Harbour Bridge to Circular Quay.
At Circular Quay we take a passenger ferry to Rose Bay and then walk the remainder of the way to Bondi Beach, which the kids are super excited to see.
Diana and I think we arrived in Bondi 20 years too late! There’s alot of twenty-something’s hanging out and relaxing on the beach. We paddle in the sea, which is quite rough, and get told off by the lifeguards for being in the wrong place. We get out, but everyone else just keeps on swimming!
Next we go find some gelato, which had a huge queue, it was good though. Afterward we jump in an Uber and go back to the apartment.
The apartment has a swimming pool at the top of the building and after freshening up we head upstairs to go for a swim. The pool is deserted, and we have a nice time swimming lengths. The terrace outside has a view over Darling Harbour and I take some photos.
Tonight’s dinner is at Cucina Porto within The Star, which is large hotel and casino complex, not far from our apartment. The food is delicious, and we have a lengthy dinner before walking back to the apartment and to bed after a long day.
