Today is bridge walking day! After our usual breakfast from the cafe across the road, the kids and I head to the shopping district as Bella would like to buy some cosmetics from Mecca.

Once back at the apartment, we get ready and walk over to the Sydney Harbour Bridge. We arrive at the BridgeClimb office and check in for our climb, meeting the Boshier’s there. The staff are friendly and helpful, and we get kitted out with our climbing gear.

The climb itself is amazing. We start on the lower walkway and then ascend to the top of the bridge, taking in stunning views of Sydney Harbour and the Opera House. The guide is knowledgeable and shares interesting facts about the bridge’s history and construction. The kids are a little nervous at first, but they soon relax and enjoy the experience. The climb takes about 3 hours, and we take plenty of photos along the way.

Afterward we find a hotel nearby for a cold drink, before then Ubering back to the Boshier’s house for dinner. We have a lovely evening catching up with them and enjoying a delicious meal, with huge prawns and other seafood. The kids dressed up and put on a show for us, which was very entertaining.

After dinner entertainment

It’s getting late, so we take an Uber back to the apartment. It’s been a fantastic day, and we’re grateful to the Boshier’s for their amazing hospitality and for joining us on the bridge climb.

Diana looses her phone on the way back, we’re convinced it’s in the Uber, but the driver can’t find it. The phone doesn’t have a network connection, so we can’t track it down. After a long day, we decide it’s a problem for tomorrow and go to bed!
