Last day. Not a cloud in the sky, perfect snow, brilliant sunshine — the perfect day to end our trip.
We squeezed every last minute out of it, after breakfast we checked out and after stowing our bags, we were off for our final day of skiing.
The final selfie of the day says it all — four happy faces, with the whole Lapland fell behind us in bright winter sunshine.
We lost Alex on the way to lunch — he took a wrong turn, so I left the girls at the restaurant, Restaurant Horizont naturally, while I sped off to go find him. After finding him waiting at the top of a nearby lift, we skied back for a long lunch — everyone was tired by this point.

We skied back to the hotel, just straight down the mountain, then it was skis off, quick showers and the flight home from Kittilä at 17:25. Back in London by 21:05, and straight to bed, it was a school day the next morning!
Seven days in Levi, and it was absolutely brilliant. One of the best family ski holidays we’ve ever had.
Levi is a fantastic resort — well-organised, excellent snow (the Arctic cold locks it in), no queues, and the whole Arctic Lapland experience on top of the skiing makes it completely unique. We came here thinking it was a once in a lifetime trip, but who knows, we might be back…
